Bring all your cable types when you travel

Travel plug adapters and cables to pack for a trip

You get on the plane, you go to charge your phone, and it does not work. The cable you brought does not fit, so now you have no phone for the whole flight.

That happens because the plugs are different everywhere now. The plane, the rental car and your headset all want a different one, and it is never the one you brought.

The cable types you might need

Honestly, I do not remember which one is which. Some are called USB-A, some are USB-C, and I can never keep up. I just know there is a big flat one that has been around forever, a small one that everything new uses, the old iPhone one, the round headphone jack, and sometimes a normal plug like the one in your wall at home.

So I bring them all

I stopped trying to guess, and I just bring them all.

The chargers, cables and adapters I travel with are in my electronic must-haves for travel list on Amazon.

More on tech for trips: essential travel gadgets and eSIMs to avoid roaming charges. If you need data when you land, you can set up an Airalo eSIM before you fly.
